Rachel Lemisch is a classically trained trombonist, with an affinity for the music of Eastern Europe, Turkey, the Balkans, and the Middle East. Rachel plays in the high-energy, Gypsy Balkan, Montreal brass band, Fanfare Severni, also featured at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Montreal Yiddish Theatre Festival, and the Montreal Jewish Music Festival. Rachel and her friends have played for several of our previous Klez contras.

Clarinetist Michael Winograd is one of the most respected and versatile working musicians in klezmer music today. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Michael spends much of his time in transit, performing and teaching throughout the world. He has played along side Itzhak Perlman, The Klezmer Conservatory Band, Socalled, Budowitz, Alicia Svigals and more.

6:30 pm - 7 pm: Introductory session. Recommended for new dancers.
7 pm - 10 pm: Dance
